I came to Vanessa almost 2 years ago after a crime that left me with complex PTSD. She has been absolutely critical in my recovery. I see her weekly and every week she helps me deal with my life now after the trauma I went through which was over a period of a year and a half. She helped me see what I had not known about the trauma I have been experiencing all of my life and that is what lead to the vulnerability and ultimately the crime against me. She has taught me so much and I owe my recovery to her. I'm stronger than before. She always says that I've done the work but I could have never done it without her. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Vanessa!

Therapist never showed up. Do you have any idea what that did to me? Awful awful experience. I finally had the courage to make an appointment and she never showed up.

I’d like to share my horrible experience with Thriveworks. First off, my therapist wasn’t a licensed therapist, she was an intern. Second, she stood me up 8/5/24 at 8:00am on a Sunday morning. I missed work for this appointment. Then, she set up several other appointments without my knowing and when I didn’t show up for the appointment, Thriveworks charged me (a single father with 0 assistance) a $135.00 usd fee for “No show” DO NOT RISK! She also scheduled two appointments in one week and upon me expressing my concern, she assured me that my insurance should pay the appointment if I tell them that I needed it badly! I did not need it nor did I want it, I just didn’t want to be charged a cancellation fee. It was ok for Korrie Watson to no show for my Appointment because I didn’t have her debit card information! DO NOT USE THRIVEWORKS! The whole experience seemed cheap and unprofessional as my therapist told me multiple time “Your talking to a therapist who has a therapist!”

After “pre-licensed” therapist, Korrie Watson failed to either call or show up at my son’s appointment, he was rescheduled for an appointment on a date that he unexpectedly had to work. He did not have the opportunity to reschedule as Watson did, but had his credit card on file charged for “No call, no show.” The irony of this entire situation is the fact that WATSON was the original “No call, no show” that led to his even needing to reschedule in the first place. But, my son did not have HER card information available to charge her for his wasted time and travel expenses! He was also instructed to inform his insurance provider that he required an additional appointment that he never attended to facilitate “billing procedures”. This is not the professional conduct one should tolerate from a so-called mental health professional and patients considering this counselor should be aware that her conduct and business practices are far from ethical and certainly not client-centered. It is impossible to conclude that she has any concern she has for her clients is more “wallet-centered” than for their mental health. In addition, we have reported this insurance fraud and unethical behavior to the Florida Board of Professional Regulation and his major insurance company. One would expect a mental health “professional” to conduct themselves in such a manner that improves her clients’ mental wellbeing, not cause more distress for them. Apparently not.

Unfortunately, I had to turn the 5 stars into 1 star. I have been seeing Virginia (Ginger) for almost a year I believe. My insurance pays the full amount so I've never owed anything. All of a sudden I get a notification that Thriveworks was unable to process my $185 bill. Thank goodness I shut my cards off these days due to fraud and theft. At that time I was on 6 weeks unpaid medical leave and that $185 would have devastated me. I have looked through every single claim that FL Blue has paid and all of them, every single one is paid in full with a $0 patient responsibility. Something is not right with this. I absolutely love Ginger and I miss her terribly but I just can't afford 185 a week when my insurance is already paying that. Sounds like some double dipping is going on.

I hate to give a bad review, but it was a disheartening experience. Upon scheduling I made it clear what my child needed. He has been through counseling before and he needs a psychiatrist. She told me no they only handle meds and set me up with someone else. The person was delightful, but right away said she was not qualified and we needed a psychiatrist. I told her that is what I asked for. She was genuinely apologetic and I don't blame her. But now I am charged for an appointment that did my child no good. I MADE IT CLEAR WHAT HE NEEDED AND DID NOT RECEIVE IT! If that is the practice where they schedule things just to get the money that is unethical!
