I went through the counseling at Trident and even though I felt the suncoast safety council was a load of BS. I found the people at trident esp Mac Jacobs and Amber Wilson to be genuine and really do care and try to help.

I would like to say i am an extremely satisfied client of Trident counseling. The staff is amazing. My counselor Lori especially i have never dealt with a more organized drug/alcohol treatment program. The staff seems to genuinely care for their clients, straight to the point and easy going. If you are struggling with substance or alcohol abuse this is the place to go I have learned things i never knew before that has helped me on my recovery journey.

Mac Jacobs, who not only owns but also is a "counselor" of trident, should lose his license. He'll bleed you dry, add on countless weeks, schedule you at whatever time suits him so not only do you pay them a obscene amount of money, you lose work hours as well. He is condescending, rude, and not a good person. Look up Mac Jacobs largo and you'll see other negative reviews. It seems like a conflict of interest that the person who most directly profits from clients, is also the person who keeps adding on weeks, to people for who the most part, have no choice because they are on probation or are court ordered. I strongly suggest you look elsewhere for counseling, there are many choices in Pinellas!
