I have seen Vera for the last 4 months and the experience is always great. She is very empathetic and listens no matter the severity of the issue. She’s uses a variety of different techniques to approach all concerns and I have definitely seen improvement since I started going. Even when I’m not able to articulate what I’m feeling she can tell. Vera is a wonderful counselor. I look forward to our weekly appointments & the hour flies by. I appreciate that our sessions aren’t boring & that I don’t sit there wondering how to pass the time. She’s very conversational & fun to talk to so I leave feeling empowered about the week ahead & not like a weeping mess lol, & she gives me helpful book recommendations to stay on track. She’s also very communicative & accommodating, & her office relaxes me. I’ve had therapists who coddled me in the past, but I needed someone to help me take actionable steps toward a better life - & quickly! Let me tell you, I was going through a bit of a rough patch before I started seeing Vera and she has completely helped me change my life around. She really listens and helps to solve any issues that I have on my mind. She is never judgmental and as a college student I am grateful that she is able to empathize with me and my problems.
