Front desk personnel was rude. Using her index finger to ask me to wait so she could take a call. To my knowledge you usually give priority to the patients in front of you and have additional staff members take the call, which they were two more sitting around. Dr and clinical staff were amazing. It would have been a 5 star experience if it wasn’t for their front desk personnel’s demeanor.

Had a first appointment with Dr Vivek Kumar at Orlando Health to restart possible shots in lower back due to small hernia in disc I was previously being treated for in NYC for almost 8 years. I was anxious finding a new back doctor - knowing I had to start from scratch - but after a relatively short wait on an appt I was pleasantly surprised and relieved. He was pleasant, easy to talk with and quickly scheduled my MRI, gave me a few options for interim pain management and now looking forward to the follow up and next steps.

Jewitt used to be great when I started going there about 15 years ago. Not anymore. Dr spent about 5 minutes each time with me. I felt he didn't take my pain or the fact that I have been unable to function, seriously. I've been on crutches 5.5 weeks now. Unable to put weight on my left side at all and in tears almost everyday. When I asked for help with the unbelievable pain I am in, I got nothing. After 5.5 weeks in constant pain, I was told he didn't do pain management. Well, why didn't he refer me to a pain management specialist weeks ago?! Importantly, I have not asked for any opiods & specifically told him I did not want to take opiods. I am not a drug seeker. I just need some relief. Dr tried to prescribe medication that I already take on a regular basis and is in my chart. He obviously did not check my med list before prescribing meds. That's a huge red flag and I should've jumped ship then. I am still letting him do my injection procedure only because I'm too overwhelmed by my situation to make a change now. He might do a great job on the procedure. I don't know. This incident and a previous experience has definitely made me decide not to continue going to Jewitt anymore. When a practice gets too big, patient care suffers. I have 2 previous great doctors who are now at Rothman so I'll be going there from now on. In this day and age, there is absolutely no reason for a patient to be in agony for this long. My advice is, if you go to Jewitt, make sure you have your own pain management specialist to go to and make sure they check your med list. Make them recite your med list to you so you know they've actually read it. Good luck. I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone.

Dr. Kumar was wonderful. I went there for a back injury. He was able to explain exactly what had happened and outlined treatment options. He was patient, kind, and encouraging. I highly recommend him.

The speed of service was good along with staff been polite.
I felt that the dr did not listen to me regarding the medicine needed.
I received 2 prescriptions one upset my crohns and the other would keep me awake all night.
If I had been listened to I feel a cortisone would have brought more relief in a safe manner to me. Now I still have back pain and will have to pursue more help and more expense.
