My father has been at Waterford for a little over a year. I visit him about three to four times a week. I am very pleased with the care that he receives, the staff is excellent, the nurses, assistants and the people who provide physical therapy. I also like the fact that if I have any questions I can reach out to the administration and they are always willing to acknowledge the family. I would highly recommend this facility. Thank you Waterford for taking such good care of my father and from what I can see the other residents.

They killed my mom at this deplorable place. I’m surprised this facility is still in business. My mother was sent there by Palmetto Hospital a few years ago for rehab after a stroke. She required suctioning to keep her airway clear. The staff said they were experienced to rehab her. Well, it was obvious they were not. They had trouble figuring out how to set up the suction machine. They refused to let me or any family to stay with her overnight to help take care of her. My brother, sister and I are all experienced emergency and ICU nurses. Well, they didn’t suction her. She ended up in ER the very next morning: having drowned in her own sputum. Rescue was able to get her to ER still alive; she died a few days later. Do not leave your family here for any complicated or serious care. They are not experienced enough. We unfortunately found out the hard way.

I found a hidden gem in Hialeah that I didn't know about. This past January my 92-year-old, frail mother with dementia, fell out of bed while asleep and broke her hip. After Fire Rescue transport to a nearby hospital, she underwent successful surgery the next day, and was discharged via ambulance a week later to Waterford Rehab & Nursing Center, a 4-story, 214-bed short and long-term care facility that I, frankly, had never heard of. The place was clean, orderly, and close to her 4 adult children. Nurys in Admissions, reassured me that she would be well taken care of and boy did she deliver! During my mom's 2½ week stay, the nurses assigned to her (Gioconda and Ysandra) were attentive, skilled, and caring. I can't say enough good things about the excellent team of physical therapists (Eliézer, Agnes, and Claudia) who, despite my mother's major surgery and diminished mental clarity, were still able to have her focus and patiently coax her into ambulating a surprising amount of steps each day with a walker. Their technique and positive results gave me the confidence to continue her rehab routines at home. Also Jumara, who set up special wheelchair transportation and documents for Mom's follow-up MD appointment during her stay there. Mom is still recovering nicely and my siblings and I are very grateful for the excellent care she received. We are very happy we chose Waterford for her post-op rehabilitation. Wonderful staff and patient care services.

I would like to say thank you so much for the wonderful care that Waterford nursing home has provided to my mom for more than a year!! I know everyone has an opinion but for me , Waterford has treated my mom as well as myself and my family just like what I said Family. My mom is loved and taken care of with tender care I see it!! Nothing is perfect, so if you’re not happy here keep your loved ones at home and do it alone like I did for 6 and a half years. That’s why Waterford is getting 5 stars from me because I’ve done the work and it’s hard work so please be grateful for those that care for your family. Carmen Figueroa is assisting my mom every morning until 3 pm she’s a sister to me I love you Carmen blessings to you and your family thank you for loving my mom and she loves you!!! A special thank you to all the assistants that take care of my mom they love her as well and are very loving with her ! Thank you Desiree for helping me always and giving my mom a special welcome when she arrived Pedro thank you for always being available when I have a question or need help Diana thank you for everything you’ve done for my mom and my family I love my mom’s room!!! This place is a complete DUMP! They keep they're patients sedated on sleeping pills around the clock. I wouldn't even feed my dog the food they provide they're patiens. It smells like garbage, the beds look like they're from the 70's, and they're overwhelmingly under staffed. Keep your loved ones far away from Waterford!! This place deserves zero stars. My mom was there less than a week and she ended up with pneumonia.

I m still in Rehabilitation at this place and the staff, HAVE BEEN EXELLENT, SPECIALY MY NURSE, IDEL BIG THANKS TO ALL, BUT SPECIALY HER,AND ALEXANDER. RAMON, Yumara, JULIO JC , Guillermo, Gaby, Dilenia FROM THERAPY, ELEASER, FRANK, THEY BEEN GREAT , AND THERAPY ,HAVE DONE ME SO GOOD.

My grandmother spent 8 months at Waterford and the staff was nothing but helpful to her and our family. They are extremely attentive and truly care about the wellbeing of their patients. I would be quick to recommend this center to anyone in need!
