Water's Edge Counseling Services

My husband likes his therapist there, but they have terrible policies with the nurse practitioner. I understand that everyone has their policies but they are extreme. If you miss one appointment they drop you, and the assistant keisha, helping the nurse practitioner was very rude and sarcastic while letting my husband know he had been dropped due to a no show almost 6 months prior. She recommended very shortly my husband to go to Osage, a whole different facility to receive his medicine. Terrible customer service. I would have thought you would have been informed when they decided to drop you, so you can work on getting another PCP to get refills on current medicine. Especially when dealing with medication that isn’t supposed to be stopped cold turkey. Better to just receive therapy through waters edge and stick with your original PCP To receive medication.

Very kind staff. Don't know what the comments are talking about when they refer to a rude receptionist. For the past two years I've been going here and when I come in she greets me with a smile and says "I'll getcha checked in!" and has complimented me on my hair or outfit at times. She always helps me if I show up a little late or need to schedule a new appointment. I've missed and had to reschedule appointments many times within my years here and have never had an issue. My therapist is great, very kind and honest and I often recommend her to my peers. Very nice and helpful, would recommend.

This place is all right for a good therapist. It is absolute garbage for med management. I have been going to Christine Sinclair Psych Nurse for two years and she still has not gotten most things correct in the medication’s that she prescribed for me. She doesn’t remember anything from one time she sees you to the next. She forgets to refill certain meds, and then you have to beg for days through the person who answers the phone to get . Fingers crossed if you do get it. Doesn’t keep up with files on you. She is in waaaay over her head and she cannot keep up with anything.. She even calls people after hours because she doesn’t remember what they talked about in the med session earlier that same day. I do not recommend her at all. If you have other options I suggest you look elsewhere if you want decent Medical care in the psychiatric venue.

I HIGHLY recommend Erica Olson as a counselor at Water’s Edge. She is an incredible person and is very respectful of all people. She has a passion for working with individuals from different backgrounds and is respectful of other’s beliefs even if they are different from her own. She is a very positive and encouraging person and she is one of few good therapists in the area who still takes Medicaid for those who need it. ?

Be aware before you counsel here that rescheduling appointments have a severe penalty. We have received notice that our child shall not be receiving counseling because we had to reschedule due to 2 funerals in our family, 1 time while our vehicle was in the shop, and the 4th time the counselor canceled on us! Our child has been counseling here for around 10 months building trust in their counselor only to be rejected over things that come up in life. You are only a number with no real need for the counseling to be successful in your child's life. Find a counseling firm who actually cares to help your child, and be there for the long term. Be aware of Waters Edge that its only concern is monetary gain.

Therapists are great. Med management and communications are bad. Recommend for counseling and a lot of patience if you need medication.
