I had an extremely effective and positive experience working with Crystal Turman at Wellspring Counseling Services. The therapy I received improved my mood, sleep quality, and overall emotional well-being. Due to the improvements I received through Neurofeedback, I was able to discontinue the medication I had been on for over 20 years. The sessions themselves were relaxing, and I appreciated how personalized the approach felt. I have been seeing Crystal for several months for my Anxiety issues and sleep disorder and have seen a remarkable difference in quality of life. In the beginning I was very hesitant to start treatment but as I began to see results my fears faded. She is an extremely kind and caring person, but more importantly her treatments produce results!! As others have said if there were six stars available her practice and methods would justify it. As a side benefit my golf game has also improved!!

My experience was, to say the least, disappointing . There is no individual clinical approach in this office .
They use the same “cookie cutter “protocol for every patient they see without any personal approach. Once you go through the initial evaluation, there is no follow or in in- person reevaluation. They are well aware there are not enough neurofeedback providers in Melbourne area so, patients will come no matter what.
The owner is too busy with her personal problems and physically shows up at her office once a week. 90 % of the time you will be working with a college student,, who has a very marginal idea of what is going on..
They will definitely tell you you need more sessions to see the real results. Guess what?
You need to pay more money for more sessions!! Amazing! Forget about many hours of your life you will never get back.
Please understand, I am not against the whole neurofeedback approach. I was very dissatisfied how things were done at this particular office.
I could not get rid of a feeling that the money I paid was the main motivator in my “treatment “. Once I questioned their treatment approach, they were very fast to say “thanks for giving it a try. Good bye.”
So, think twice before going there or at least do your research.

If I could give wellspring counseling over five stars, I truly would. Crystal and her company have changed my life for the better. I was born with Generalized anxiety disorder and later developed PTSD and Panic attacks due to early childhood trauma. I’ve seen many therapists and psychiatrists who have helped me maintain my symptoms to a level where I was not in danger, but my quality of life was low. I never slept well, my athletic performance was out of wack, I was always sick, sad and depressed and my social anxiety was all over the place. When I left for college In august, things really began to fall apart. After deciding with my doctor that the only way to overcome these issues was to move back home and hit the issues head on, I came to see Crystal. After being suggested her practice from my doctor we reluctantly went to a consult. My family feared making my symptoms worse by trying something newer and less understood by the general population. However I’m so thankful I did. That first day I had no energy and no will to live. Fast forward 30 sessions and lots of work at home, I couldn’t be happier to be alive, my performance in school and athletics has increased, my panic attacks are nearly non existent and I finally understand what a normal amount of anxiety feels like. Thank you Crystal, as sad as I am that we won’t get to spend time together anymore, you saved my life and allowed me to see how much I have to live for.

I hope my story encourages someone to get the help you deserve and live a happy rewarding life........I had been having anxiety for all of my adult life. In 2012 I started experiencing panic attacks so I went to a locally very well known psychologist for counseling. Worked through some minor issues which was nice but still experiencing anxiety. He felt like he had done all he could do and wanted to refer me to a psychiatrist to put me on a benzodiazepine (Zanax). Instinctively I knew this was not the answer so I thanked him for the anxiety coping methods he taught me and off I went. So I coped as best I could for 10 more years. Never able to completely relax, never getting a great night's sleep,
irritable, angry, depressed. Then the panic attacks returned with a vegeance, hourly.....erratic heartbeat...anxiety like I had never imagined...I was terrified. One day as I was again contemplating whether I should go to the ER......a close friend confided in me that he was going to Wellspring Counseling for anxiety issues and that they used state of the art neuro feed back training to "retrain" the brain. He said it was easy, drug free and it was really working for him. I immediately made an appointment for a consultation.
They did a brain scan. The neurologist read the scan and mapped out a customized treatment strategy for me. Everyone gets a treatment strategy customized to their particular brain issues. No one size fits all treatment here. The neurologist noted that I was one of the more severe cases she had seen and said I should NEVER take a benzo med, that I would surely become addicted.....glad I followed my gut instinct 10 years
earlier. They found indication of physical head trauma and were able to pinpoint the location of impact and determine how it was affecting my brain AND create a treatment strategy to normalize my brain........when she told me this, I then
remembered I
had a bike crash when I was 12 years old....my two friends picked me up from the road and dragged me a quarter mile to my house dropping me on the front lawn. That's when I regained consciousness.......but had no vision. Off to the hospital, monitored overnight, vision returned next day, released from hospital and no one thought anymore about it.....that was medicine in the 1960's.
Bottom line. This injury set me up for 59 years of suffering and anxiety. I completed the treatment strategy in 6 months.
I am, for the first time in my life, anxiety free. I sleep like a baby. My outlook on the world has flipped 180 degrees. I am luxuriating in my ability to relax. Life has never felt so good. I thank GOD for Wellspring Counseling.
