Unfortunately my experience was not good with FCC. I was trying work out a very complicated situation in relationships with my adult children and Marty Villa and another intern met with us. The sessions were confusing as I was not sure of the direction we were going, there was so much time between each session (they either forgot to call us to schedule or just didn't return phone calls) that the Counselor's did not remember what we spoke about last time and later I was informed that the type of counseling we were doing was not what I had originally asked for. I tried to resolve my confusion and had to call a few times before I received any answers. I was told by Marty that he had 'changed his mind' on the direction of the counseling and how he would handle meeting with all of us but I was never included in this decision. His decision caused further confusion in my relationship with my son. I also found Marty to be harsh at times and have a lack of compassion however the interns I spoke with were compassionate and I felt I was being listened to. FCC never returned my last phone call to try to continue with counseling and my son said they never returned his call either. I find it very unprofessional for any institution to treat people with such a lack of professionalism and respect. I am a business owner and would not have clients if I treated people in this way. It seems that they could have saved me from the added stress they compounded on an already painful family situation, not to mention the money I paid, if they had just said they were too full to add another client to their schedule or weren't able to help us. Instead I was left waiting when we could have just gone in another direction. I hope they have changed for the better so that no one else has to go through this situation. This makes the second counselor I have been to in the last few years who was over committed or for other reasons was not able to fulfill their commitment and did not let me know up front. I have finally found a great Christian counselor that is organized and helps to find solutions to your issues within a reasonable amount of time. These are very reasonable expectations. I would encourage anyone looking for a counselor that you ask lots of questions before going forward to make sure they are able to fulfill their obligations. A good source is New Life Counseling which you can find on the internet. They are able to find Counselor's in your area or nearby.

My wife and I used FCC to help with how to better communicate with each other. Samantha was fantastic and it's really what we needed!
